I order the exact same thing every time I come to Mad for Chicken - boneless tenders in soy garlic, parmesan fries, and an avocado salad - and it's a perfect shareable meal. Service at this location is friendly and quick. Great place for a casual meal in the area.
To any of my fellow Yelpers who would prefer not to [eat wings]: Don't sleep on the scallion chicken. It's a massive quantity of addictively tasty chicken tenders (enough for two people/two meals) heaped with an overgrown garden's worth of thinly sliced fresh scallions and chopped purple onions accompanied by a fine honey mustard. It travels and reheats well too.
Review for carry out only, as I've yet to enjoy a sit-down experience at M4C. Since the wings take some time to cook, I usually place my order and do some shopping in the area before swinging by to pick up my food. My last order consisted of an individual 5 wing combo, wing and drum combo, and a truffle fry. She survived the 21 minute drive home and was still warm. The wing meat fell off the bone and I appreciated that they cut the wing tips off of the flats. Everything was tasty however I do think the truffle fries lost some perfume during the drive home (probs due to steam in the box which is expected). Ambiance is nice and the staff is kind, which was a plus
Overall a yummy solid Korean Fried Chicken spot! Especially in Brooklyn. (Ok, I know BB.Q Chicken just opened in Brooklyn as well... so we shall see). I am a huge fangirl of KFC (Korean), since the first time I had Bon Chon back in 2000s... (yep, I'm old AF). The crispy skin gets me all the time... and the meat is juicy... soy garlic and spicy... just *drool* Service was great! The team is on-point on both visits of mine. With family, food came at a nice pace and the hostess checked on us a few times right make sure we have enough napkins, water refill and or drinks needed. The 2nd time with girl friends - and we ordered a lot... they also had cocktail and it was awesome! A little weak on the first round but stronger on the 2nd. The ambiance is quite like a pub, so friends can chill and enjoy their night. Full bar and fried chicken, what else do you need? Food: As for their signature fried chicken, love the wings, not a fan of the drums... they are massive and I feel like the seasoning doesn't quite get into the chunks of the meat. The Mac & Cheese was tasty, the Ttoekbokki was ok, some pieces felt undercooked; we added dumplings (they were good) the kimchi fries was yummy, got Scallion Chicken to try (it's just fried chicken tenders covered with scallions); tried their Parmesan fries - crispy and delicious when fresh! Lastly - the bulgogi bowl was really good! Full of different flavor and textures - really yummy and definitely shareable! Would absolutely return for more Korean Fried Chicken!!! Can't wait! #yelplife #koreanfriedchicken #eatwell #brooklyn
As we are exploring places to eat in our neighborhood, one restaurant that stands out is the Korean chain, Mad for Chicken, especially since I'm a fan of fried chicken and Bonchon. The restaurant is quite spacious, featuring a long full bar, tall tables, and a few long communal tables spread across the floor. They also have large television screens where they show sports games. Mad for Chicken serves a variety of Korean comfort food. For a light lunch, my partner ordered a chicken with avocado salad, while I had 5 pieces of spicy chicken with French fries. The order took a little while, but we were confident that the dishes were freshly made. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The service was efficient, and there are many other dishes on the menu that we would like to try, which gives us a good reason to visit this place again.
